Dental crowns and bridges are types of dental restorations used to repair damaged teeth, restore functionality, and improve the cosmetic appearance of the smile.

Dental Crowns

A dental crown is a protective covering made of various materials, such as ceramic, metal, or a combination of both, that is placed over a tooth that has sustained significant damage, such as a deep decay or fracture. The dental crown provides protection and strength to the weakened tooth, restoring its original shape, size and function.

Dental Bridges

A dental bridge is a framework consisting of one or more bonded crowns and is used to replace one or more missing teeth. Crowns at the ends of the bridge are placed over the teeth adjacent to the missing tooth space, while the middle part of the bridge (called the “pontic”) occupies the empty space where the missing teeth used to be.
